Who We Are

Mocingbird is a fast-growing SaaS company modernizing how healthcare professionals manage continuing education and credentialing. Our web and mobile platform helps clinicians stay compliant with licensing requirements without the administrative burden.

We are a live, production platform with real users, real revenue, and real impact in healthcare. Our software directly supports clinicians and organizations operating in regulated environments, and the work we do matters.

We’re a mission-driven, remote-first team founded by physicians who have lived the pain of medical credentialing firsthand. We care deeply about quality, empathy for users, and building software that delivers measurable value.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Product Manager to support discovery, execution, and delivery across our platform as the product and organization continue to grow.

This is a hands-on, mid-level role with meaningful ownership. You’ll be trusted to make day-to-day product decisions, define solutions, and drive execution for your area of responsibility, while staying aligned with the broader product strategy, roadmap, and department goals set by Product leadership.

Our product operates in a complex, regulated domain and serves multiple user types. Priorities evolve, constraints are real, and tradeoffs matter. Success in this role requires strong judgment, clear communication, and comfort operating with some ambiguity—without operating in isolation.

You’ll act as both Product Manager and Product Owner for an assigned scrum team, working closely with Operations, Engineering, and Design to translate problems into shipped solutions. You’ll report to the Director of Product and collaborate closely with other Product Managers to ensure consistency and alignment across the platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the delivery and execution of product initiatives within an assigned product area
  • Act as Product Owner for a scrum team(s), maintaining a prioritized, well-groomed backlog aligned to the product roadmap
  • Translate product strategy and department goals into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Partner with Engineering and Design to explore solutions, assess tradeoffs, and make informed decisions
  • Leverage AI tools to support discovery, ideation, and prototyping while maintaining ownership of outcomes
  • Validate assumptions using customer feedback, operational insights, and product data
  • Coordinate with Product leadership to ensure priorities, scope, and timelines remain aligned
  • Communicate progress, risks, and learnings clearly to stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement of product processes, documentation, and team workflows
  • Measure success based on outcomes and user impact, not just shipped features (We want to ship the right things)

What You Bring

  • 2–5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner on software products
  • Experience working on Agile / Scrum teams with close engineering collaboration
  • Strong ability to write clear, structured product requirements and user stories
  • Comfort making decisions within defined strategic guardrails
  • Comfortable creating and providing feedback on UX and design updates and requirements
  • A collaborative mindset: you seek alignment, input, and feedback rather than working in a silo
  • Experience shipping and iterating on SaaS features in production environments
  • Solid communication skills with both technical and non-technical partners
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-adjacent domains is a plus

Our Approach to AI

We actively use AI tools to accelerate product discovery, ideation, documentation, and prototyping.

AI supports how we think and explore but does not replace ownership or accountability. Product Managers are expected to use these tools thoughtfully, ensuring that decisions, requirements, and priorities remain grounded in user needs, data, and product strategy.

Comfort experimenting with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, v0, and Cursor is expected. Sound judgment, clarity, and follow-through remain essential.

This Role Is a Great Fit If You...

  • Enjoy owning execution while staying aligned to a broader strategy
  • Like collaborating closely with engineers and designers
  • Are comfortable making decisions with guidance rather than step-by-step direction
  • Care about clarity, usability, and real customer impact
  • Want to grow your product judgment and scope over time

This Role Is Probably Not a Fit If You...

  • Want full strategic ownership with minimal oversight
  • Prefer rigid requirements and static roadmaps
  • Are uncomfortable adjusting direction based on feedback or constraints
  • Don’t enjoy close collaboration with Engineering

Tools We Use

  • Product & Project Management: Shortcut
  • Design & Prototyping: Figma, v0, Cursor
  • Analytics & Insights: Product analytics and internal reporting
  • Collaboration: Slack
  • AI Tools: ChatGPT, Gemini, others as necessary or identified

Our Mission
