Location: Remote (U.S.-based only; ET preferred)
Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $50k/yr - $65k/yr, based on experience

Position Summary

The Licensing Specialist’s main responsibilities are to process initial applications and complete additional licensing tasks as needed. This role reports to the Licensing Team Lead but will work closely with all of the Operations department. As we are a fast growing company, this role will be multi-functional which may require responsibilities outside of the normal role description. 

This is a hands-on role that combines individual contribution with opportunities for technical leadership. Depending on your level, you’ll either contribute to or take ownership of mentoring, improving system reliability and maintainability, and shaping the roadmap of a fast-growing, mission-driven company.

Responsibilities 

  • Work directly with the licensing team to support any needs or requests
  • Build and maintain guides for license applications and supporting documentation
  • Complete initial application and/or renewals as needed
  • Quality check renewal and initial license applications
  • Schedule and process e-notary documentation for licensing
  • Be the “go to” person on the team for application and quality check questions
  • Compile and organize necessary documentation for licensing applications
  • Continuously seek out potential efficiencies to promote streamlining processes
  • Research license requirements
  • Process verifications as needed
  • Call or email state boards to inquire about additional information 
  • Updates licensing tracker to reflect all activity being completed
  • Process file categorizations
  • Provides support with special projects
  • Performs miscellaneous job duties as assigned

What You Bring

  • 5+ years experience in the medical licensing field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Propensity to build authentic relationships and collaborate across teams
  • Build consensus, and resolve disagreements when necessary
  • Ability to utilize data to gain insights, find opportunities and build consensus
  • Curiosity with a desire to improve processes and ways of working
  • Detail-oriented with a drive for delivering high quality work
  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment with a bias towards action
  • Independent, self learner
  • Team player who brings a positive attitude to work
